Why is it only the intellectual rivitheads who read, and contribute to this site? Why are untouchable subjects commented on daily here? Why are politics, and other havens for corruption and bribery a bullseye on our target? Captain RIVIT, and the rivited rangers are the last hope for the humanity. Captain RIVIT says.."before saving the world from doom each day, me and the rangers sip OLD HAWK.. the official drink of superheros everywhere"!! It takes a rivithead to get the job done!!

I went to the gun show today. There were a thousand tables and 10.000 people. Everything overpriced. Rifles that were $1000.00 were now 2000.00! Magazines that were formally 6 or 7 dollars were asking 30 and UP! Ammo has tripled. I didnt buy anything, I looked at the antique stuff, great old flintlocks, and cival war carbines.... but those who wanted an ak, or AR better have had a big fat roll, or they wernt getting it. One nice piece I saw was an armscorp 308 AR profile that took M14 20 round mags. Rifle, custom hardcase and 6 mags.. A honey at $2200.00

Ive never seen one of those before. A pump 308. Is that mag exclusive to that rifle, or is it a military mag, that fits? What power scope?

 Howdy,

A similar .223 model was all the rage 4 years ago when the "Evil Black Rifles" were once again being attacked; they take a standard AR mag and were produced as the 7600.  They were hard to find & harder now.

Troy; who will 'hump' his M1A all day & night (3rd Gen Night Vision baby!)

I bought that gun in Germany in 1977 at Bitburg AFB. It has taken 90% of my deer over the yrs. Is a dead on rifle. I never hunted with a scope [Cheating] . Since I don'
t hunt anymore the gun has been modified for long range home defense. Burris 3x9. I'm not a fan of peasant or McNamara rounds. I want FIREPOWER ! In a combat situation if I needed a 7.62x39 or a 223 , I'd find someone that had one and dispatch them from 500 yrds ,then relieve them of their weapon and ammo .

I think you have to use [url] [url] before and after the link . Troy, my son just bought a M1A1 .  Also the old 760 is a better gun than the 7600.

Howdy Troy. Good to hear from you.Coffees on, and Ill write a little. At the gun show, I was looking for old kentucky rifles and early 1800s stuff. Did notice ak's, and ar's though. The prices were through the roof. Magazines were 30 to 50 dollars for the old tin surplus army mags. The money changers were in the temple. Ammo was stiff. A friend bought 500 rounds of idf 308 for 300.00 so that equals 600.00 a thousand! Sheesh. How can anyyone afford to practice at those prices. There wernt a lot of military rifles, mainly sporting types, and the sprinkling of ar's but honestly I didnt see anyone rushing to buy any. Probably cause they couldnt get mags reasonable. There was the old preban 762X39 some were selling. They dragged out everything to sell. 223 was an outrage with prices over 600.00 a thousand for what sold for 325.00 a few weeks before could buy. The favorite I saw was a 1817 harpers ferry common rifle, with the original browned barrel, looking really great at 195 years old. It was 3200.00 I think. Ill bet it would still shoot. Maybe ban it too. What would the colonial, and frontier men and women say if a corrupt government said they had to turn in their guns back then???

 Howdy,

Hell yes, "Old vs. New" of course and 7.62x51mm NATO is all I have run in my rifle.  I'd hate to be shot....at all, but, that dammed' 5.56x45 kinda scares the urine out of me.  Did he get a 'relic' or a new Auto Ordinance?  Good to go out to 250-300 yards & perfect for home defense.  Well I guess that is determined by how big your defendable perimeter is.

Troy

Hey boys and girls. When our current leader was reelected, I immediately bought ammo and mags. Almost $1600 worth. Glad I did, cause it would be twice that now.
Save a camping spot for me Mt. Man.

I drove over to lexington Ky. yesterday. The gun store was sold out. Also no 223, or nothing else for that matter at wal mart, except a few boxes of shotgun shells. I cant believe no place has any stock being replaced? Is there some hold on ammo shipments? Im going to order some tune up parts and get working on my outboard. If I cant target practice, I may as well get the motor ready for spring!
