Sometimes the aluminum gets a black patina on it. I had a guy at the autoparts store push this stuff on me. I squirted it on ,waited a few minutes and it rubbed right off. I didn't see any acid on the label,,but washed it down with baking soda anyhow. It's called superClean. It says be careful on aluminum. That's why I tried it !
